Background and history

After heading the C P de Leeuw Group of quantity surveyors and property valuers for many years Dr Corné de Leeuw joined forces with his son Gerhard to establish DelQS towards the end of the year 2000 in Johannesburg to take up the challenges of the new millennium by merging experience and a long track record with youthful vigour and technological expertise. Under Dr De Leeuw’s control the C P de Leeuw Group ranked in the twenty largest quantity surveying practices in the world. Subsequently DelQS established a branch office in Pretoria with Nico Roos as the director in charge. The construction and property industries have dramatically changed over the past few years.

The influence of political and economic changes and advancements in technology has required a major paradigm shift from investors and consultants alike. DelQS was structured as a viable and relevant entity in this changing environment by acquiring the latest that technology could offer and, in addition to its own in-house resources, linking it with a pool of external associates who have a remarkable track record. DelQS is today in the fortunate position that it is able to provide services for any size of project whilst retaining the one major strength, namely personal service.
